Life demands champions. Inherent in the process of living is the process of trials and misery. Some, however, see this as unacceptable, and accept the responsibility thrust upon them to right whatever wrongs they can. They are driven only by the desire to help others. In many, however, this desire is not natural, and must be instilled. For one, this will be through a mystic ordeal, showing him his true self. The man in question stood atop a crest, thrusting out among a ring of trees. The top was bare of life, all the soil having been stripped away long ago by forces unknown. He shuffle


Rain GodRain God Rain dropped around the form of a man, fallen to the ground. All he could do was lay there, shivering, his breath leaving his mouth in white streaks against the darkness of the sky. He struggled to stand, but fell again, rainwater running down his long hair and through his beard, drawing lines in the dirt and dust on his face. White vapor poured slowly from his mouth, his sigh overtaken by the sound of rain all around. Concentration gathered around his face, his force of will showing through the misery and pain.
